Why am I not receiving any emails in my email client (e.g. outlook, eudora, thunderbird)?

You will need to create a new account in your mail client with the new email settings stated below*.  For instructions to create an account, click here. If you experience technical difficulties please contact the ICT Helpdesk at help@nmsu.edu or (575) 646-1840 to have a Helpdesk staff member walk you through the change. Additionally you can also receive in-office support for setting up your e-mail program by placing a trouble ticket.

Account Settings for the new account should be:

Account Type: IMAP
Incoming Server: outlook.com
Incoming Port: 993
Encryption: SSL

Outgoing Server: smtp.nmsu.edu
Outgoing Port: 587
Encryption: TLS

Username: user@nmsu.edu
Password:

*Your new account will contain all of your NMSU e-mail messages and folders.
